Danger to coral reefs posed by climate change is very great, but reefs’ actual response is likely to vary a greatly in time, in space and among different coral species. Science Magazine interviewed John Pandolfi, the lead author of an article on the current outlook for reefs, their potential resilience, and actions that can be taken to reduce threats to reef environments.
